XFR compounds and masterbatches modify your product to ensure safe and performant flame-retardant properties,
tailored to the end application and fulfilling the relevant specifications.

Our expertise ranges from UL-94 qualifications (V-0, V-2), which we are able to test in our own laboratory, to DIN 4102 B1 / NFP92 503-505 M1 and more specific norms, for instance EN 45545 HL3 for rolling stock. We support a wide range of polymer raw materials, including but not limited to polyolefins, PA, PET, ABS and PC. Carriers for masterbatches can be matched to your raw material, to ensure maximum compatibility.

Safety - the right solution

To ensure environmentally safe products, XINOMER focusses on the use of Halogen Free Flame Retardants (HFFR) and Low Halogen Flame Retardants (LHFR).

The use of Halogenated Flame Retardants (HFR) is already being limited in several regions, and regulatory pressure is increasing. XINOMER advises to design new products with future-proof HFFR or LHFR additives. For specific applications, design of compounds and masterbatches based on HFR is also possible.

Besides achieving the desired result in the application test, often undervalued aspect of flame-retardant formulas is the processability of the modified material.

XINOMER XFR compounds and masterbatches are optimised for your converting process, whether this comprises Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Profile Extrusion or Film/Sheet extrusion.
